I was playing in the harbour breeze, but currently working as an admin for Harcourts JK realty, I’ve been here for about a year. Before that I was playing basketball in Australia.

Why did you choose the game of basketball?

I just love the game of basketball, I played all different sports in high school but nothing spoke to me more than Basktball. It’s taken me a lot of places and the culture is amazing.

What school did you attend and did you play basketball?

I attended Mount Albert Grammar School and I played basketball and netball.

You are role model for young women, what advice do you have for them getting into basketball?

If you really love it, put everything into it and don’t hold back!

Making the tall ferns team. Also making Nz 3×3 teams And travelling to China and Korea

Who has been your biggest influence in basketball and why?

My mother and father have been my biggest influence, they never let me give up or quit and always pushed me to be my best even when I thought I couldn’t do it.

Who is the ultimate women’s basketball player in New Zealand and why?

I would have to say Makayla Cox. I never knew who she was until we played her in Australia and saw what she could do on the court. Her work ethic and iq for the game is amazing and watching her play is exciting.

If you have one piece of advice to give to your younger self what would it be?

Confidence is key, and stay focused on you’re goal. If you really love the game you need to work at it. Work work work!

You have been chosen to play in the Tall Fern Showcase next week. Are you excited?

I’m really excited to be apart of this team! This is my first time in so I’m excited Play at this level .
