Why did you choose the game of basketball?
I grew up around the sport and all my older siblings played as well.
What schools did you attend? and what were your achievements and highlights?
Fremont High School in Plain City, Utah USA and Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah USA.
High School Achievements: Named Utah’s High School 5A Most Valuable Player in 2014, All-State Tournament Team 2013-2014, All-Region Team 2013-2014, Utah’s Best of State Female Athlete 2014, named to Dick’s Nationals All-Tournament Team in NYC in 2014, 5A State Champs 2014
BYU Achievements: 1st Round of NCAA Tournament (March Madness) 2015, 2016, West Coast Tournament Champions 2015, West Coast Conference Champions 2016, Team captain senior year in 2018
You are a role model for young women, what advice do you have for them getting into basketball?
Make sure you love the game and are playing for you.
What has been the ultimate highlight so far in your career?
Either playing at Madison Square Garden or playing in the NCAA Tournament (march madness).
Who has been your biggest influence in basketball and why?
Honestly, I have no idea maybe my family members watching them when I was young.
Where do you see women’s basketball in the next five years?
I hope to see women’s basketball continue to get more recognition and credit across the world. I think it has come a long way, but still can do better. In New Zealand I hope in 5 years more young girls will be exposed to basketball and get involved. Hopefully they will prefer basketball over netball…hahaha
Who is the ultimate women’s basketball player in New Zealand?
I am biased and going to say my old teammate Kalani Purcell.
In terms of your playing career, what would be the pinnacle for you?
Playing Division 1 Basketball in the United States and getting a free education

You are playing in the up and coming 18 in 18 tournament in Auckland, how are you preparing yourself for this?
Getting my body conditioned and strong. Doing my own reps outside of trainings.
